The 15th annual Chefs of Compassion fundraiser, held at the Computer History Museum in Mountain View, California, will be held March 27 at 6 p.m. at 6pm. Local chefs present dishes created solely with ingredients from the West Valley Community Services (WVCS), a Cupertino-based nonprofit that has been running for 52 years. The event allows local residents who benefit from WVCS’s food and rental support services to share their personal stories. Two of the three participating chefs are from Campbell restaurants: Executive Chef Andrew “Shito” Thai at Be.Steak.A and Chef Mariano Zasso at Locanda Sorrento. The Chefs' winner will compete for the best dish, with a panel of judges choosing its creation and a people's choice award. The nonprofit has seen an 80% increase in need for all services since the last four years, with over 30,000 visits to its food services in total.
