Energy secretary on gas prices: ‘Americans will feel it for a few more weeks’

Energy Secretary Chris Wright warned that high gas prices are expected for a few more weeks due to the ongoing conflict in Iran, which has disrupted the flow of energy. He emphasized that the US will remove the greatest risk to global energy supplies and that a world more abundant in energy, affordable energy, and less risky for American soldiers and commerce in the Middle East will be removed. The price of regular gas is currently at around $3.70 per gallon, up from around $2.99 a month ago, according to AAA. The United Nations is also considering loosening shipping rules in an effort to reduce oil prices.
