Pontiac woman who ran red light, then fled scene in crash that killed motorcyclist sentenced

Leeann Jean Darling, a 36-year-old Pontiac woman, was sentenced to 200 months in prison after pleading no contest to three felony charges related to a crash that left a motorcyclist dead and injured his passenger. The sentences will run concurrently and Darling received credit for 132 days already served. A restitution hearing is scheduled for May 14, 2026. The charges stem from the Sept. 1, 2025, crash on Woodward Avenue at Perry Street.
