Pope Leo XIV addressed the issue of inequality in the country, using a Mass attended by over 100,000 people in the port city of Douala to address the issue. This is part of a larger effort by the Catholic church to address this issue. Despite being one of the wealthiest countries in the world, the Catholic Church remains silent.
