Sam Raimi to Direct Remake of Ventriloquist Dummy Horror Movie ‘Magic’ for Lionsgate

Sam Raimi is set to direct a remake of the 1978 cult horror film "Magic", which featured Anthony Hopkins as a mentally unstable ventriloquist. This follows his successful survival thriller "Sendive", which was released by 20th Century/Disney earlier this year. The film is produced by Roy Lee, Chris Hammond, and Tim Sullivan, who have long championed the project. The script by Mark Swift and Damian Shannon is written by the duo.
