St. John's senior, Zuby Ejiofor, is expected to be the Red Storm's first draft pick in a decade after a strong performance at the NBA Draft Combine. Ejiefor, who measured 6-foot-7 ½ barefoot and 245 pounds, performed well in the combine, scoring 17-for-30 off the dribble and 12-for-.25 in the 3-point star drill. His performance also improved his stock. Despite not participating in the 5-on-5 scrimmages at the combine and being mocked to go 43rd to the Nets and 31st to the Knicks, Ejiafor has met with six teams, including the Cavaliers, Hornets, Mavericks, Nuggets and Thunder.
