Apple experienced a 9.1% year-over-year increase in Mac shipments in Q1 2026, bringing its market share to 9.5%, up from 8.9% the previous year. The biggest increase was from ASUS, which grew 17.1%, reaching a 7.2% market share. However, Apple and ASUS ranked fourth and fifth in IDC's worldwide traditional PC shipments, behind Lenovo, HP, and Dell. Despite this growth, IDC predicts further decline in PC shipments due to rising system prices and component shortages. Some Mac Studio configurations are currently back-ordered by up to 5 months, with other Mac models showing limited availability.
