Merlin Entertainments and Mojang Studios are partnering to build a $70 million theme park in London, set to open in 2027 at Chessington World of Adventures in Greater London. The park will feature Minecraft-themed attractions, including a roller coaster, interactive adventures, block-built playscapes, themed retail and dining. A selection of iconic Minecraft creators will assist in the project. The announcement was made during the Minecraft Live event. The partnership is seen as a milestone in Mojang's ongoing efforts to expand the Minecraft universe.
