Seventeen 'bangers' in 750‑mile drive for hospice
Published on March 10, 2026.
The Ewshot 750 Banger Challenge, organised by Brendan Cox, will see 17 cars driven 750 miles through England and Wales to raise money for the Phyllis Tuckwell hospice, which provides services for patients in Surrey and Hampshire. The challenge, which aims to avoid motorways and travel scenic routes, will also feature a visit to the Farmer's Dog pub in Oxfordshire, run by former Top Gear presenter Jeremy Clarkson. All proceeds from the event will go towards the hospice's specialist care.
