Tim Curry, known for his roles in movies such as It, The Simpsons, and The Lion King, has revealed that he tried out for several villainous roles, including that of Marv in Home Alone. He also considered playing Malcolm in Jurassic Park, but lost the role to Jeff Goldblum. In an interview with The Academy's Margaret Herrick Library, Curry shared his regret for not auditioning for the role of Hannibal Lecter in the script of Silence of the Lambs. The actor also mentioned a scrapped project called Crusade, which never "came to be," but the casting director deemed him not fat enough.
