The Second Harvest Food Bank of Southeast North Carolina organized a volunteer event to pack thousands of meal kits for children in need across the Sandhills region. The volunteers were driven from across the region to Fayetteville's Crown Coliseum to pack meals for children. The meal kits are packed with kid-friendly items and are then distributed to schools across the area. Volunteers emphasized the importance of ensuring balanced meals even when children are not in school.
