Juan Manuel Delgado Jr., 42, has been charged with second-degree murder in the death of his 37-year-old girlfriend, Krista Joy Hunt, who was found dead in a river in Skagit County, Washington state. Hunt was reported missing on Feb. 1 after she was last seen days earlier in Concrete, and was never seen again. The victim's mother alleges a pattern of brutal abuse, including allegations that Delgado set a timer to beat Hunt multiple times before her disappearance. Delgado was already facing unrelated charges related to possessing an explosive device, unlawful possession of a firearm, and DUI. The Skaggit County Coroner's Office has previously documented significant injuries, including a broken neck, jaw, and ribs.
