UCLA women’s basketball hopes new Final Four approach leads to title

UCLA women's basketball team is aiming for its first NCAA championship after a disappointing season in which they lost 34 points to UConn in the national semifinal. Coach Cori Close and her team plan to avoid distraction as they prepare for the upcoming game against Texas, which they hope will help them secure their first NCAA title. The team's preparation began nine months ago and they plan to be prepared for the game against the top seed, Texas, based on their lessons learned from last year's loss. UCLA Chancellor Julio Frenk and his wife, Felicia Knaul, wished the team good luck before it departed for the airport. The teams' only loss was a 76-65 loss to Texas in Las Vegas in November.
