Boys State Basketball: Minnehaha Academy uses second half surge to beat Goodhue in Class 2A title game

Minnehaha Academy, the sixth state championship and first since 2021, won 81-69 over Goodhue in the Class AA final of the Minnesota State High School League’s 2026 Boys Basketball State Tournament. The Redhawks had trailed 30-28 at halftime but surged in the second half, with a second half surge led by 6-foot-7 junior Kellen Troup. Troup scored 20 points after halftime, including all four of his three-point attempts and three dunks. Ayden Green and Troup both contributed significantly to the victory. The game was seen as a significant moment of growth for a team that started the season 0-3 and finished 26-5.
