A heat wave has ended Lee Canyon's winter season prematurely, ending skiers and snowboarders at the resort. The resort celebrated its final day with an early spring tradition: the pond skim. General Manager Josh Bean said the resort had to end the season earlier than planned due to the warm weather. Despite the early closing, the resort saw record visitation and shifted into spring events earlier than usual. Once the snowfalls fall, Lee Canyon will transition into summer activities, with staff focusing on mountain biking and hiking.
