Mike Trout recently ran his fastest sprint speed in nearly two years, running 29.9 feet per second, a sign that he is feeling great and can improve. This was the last time he was timed going faster than 29.3 seconds. Trout, who tore his meniscus in April 2024, acknowledged that he feels great and has more to give. His health is a key question this spring as the Angels consider whether he can return to center field. Right-hander Jack Kochanowicz, who struggled last season with a 6.81 ERA in 23 big league starts, is in camp fighting for a spot in the big league rotation. Kochanowitz also highlighted his commitment to using both sinkers and four-seam fastball.
