President Donald Trump has signed an executive order that restricts mail-in voting. The order requires mail ballots to have secure envelopes with unique barcodes for tracking and requires the Department of Homeland Security and Social Security Administration to create a list of eligible voters in each state. The US Postal Service can only send ballots to those on each state's approved list. Nevada Secretary of State Francisco Aguilar believes this will impact certain communities more than others, particularly Nye County and Douglas County, which have adopted at a higher rate than others. However, there are also questions surrounding the implementation of the order. Some states are threatening to sue regarding the executive order.
