Samuel Saint Remy, 32, was arrested following a parking lot shooting in Miami that left another man with multiple gunshot wounds. The incident occurred at around 8:54 p.m. on Sunday, when four ShotSpotter alerts were detected in the area near Northeast Miami Court and 71st Street. Saint Remy then called 911 and reported that he had shot at a driver who had tried to hit him with their vehicle. He was arrested and charged with attempted second-degree murder, using a firearm while committing a felony, and unlawful discharge of a firearm in a public place. Despite invoking his right to remain silent, Saint Remy made "spontaneous statements" that were recorded and his statements to his mother were also redacted from the publicly released report.
