AI trial reduces Dorset care home falls and ambulance callouts

A pilot program in Dorset has resulted in significant reductions in ambulance callouts and hospital transfers. The technology detects changes in sound during the night and sends an alert to staff via a handheld device. Despite the trial and funding ending, the private residential home will continue using the technology in the future. The Department of Health and Social Care will provide guidance and standards for the care sector regarding the use of these technologies.
