Exxon evacuates personnel in Middle East

Exxon Mobil has evacuated some personnel from the Middle East due to the ongoing U.S.-Israeli conflict with Iran. The company's CEO, Darren Woods, stated that its priority was ensuring its people were safe and providing support for operations. Exxon has reduced some operations in the region to manage oil inventory levels as shipping traffic through the Strait of Hormuz remains disrupted. Qatar-owned petroleum company QatarEnergy halted production last week due to a reported Iranian attack on its facilities. Qatar's Minister of Energy Saad Sherida al-Kaabi warned that a prolonged conflict could lead Gulf states to halt exports within weeks, potentially destabilizing the global market. The State Department has issued a "worldwide caution" alert, advising Americans to closely follow security guidance from the nearest U.
