Foy Vance, a Northern Ireland-born artist, has released his new album, The Wake, 26 years after his father's death. The album, which includes 13 songs and a concise 55-minute run, is a significant milestone in Vance's journey to navigate the emotional context surrounding his father’s death. Although The Wake is the end of a seven album arc he began after his dad's death, Vance believes it's still "not goodbye completely" and that grief is a powerful reminder of life. He credits his creative process to creating the album and expressing his vision of acknowledging who he has grown into throughout adulthood without his father.
