The severe weather threat has ended, but new information has prompted a new First Warn Weather Day for Sunday, as the risk for severe storms returns by the end of the weekend. Friday will be largely dry with plenty of sunshine, with temperatures reaching around 71 degrees with north winds near 10 mph. However, a 30% chance of rain and storms is expected during the afternoon to evening, with wind and hail being primary threats. Sunday will be a Level 3/5 for the metro and surrounding areas, with all severe hazards possible. If the storms largely hold off until Sunday night, they could bring high wind and flooding through the night and into Monday morning.
