Devils player Jack Hughes has expressed his desire to have his golden goal puck returned from the Hockey Hall of Fame. The puck he scored in the Olympic gold medal game, which secured the U.S. team's first gold medal win since the 1980 Winter Olympics, is on display at a 2026 Olympics Hockey Hall Of Fame exhibit in Toronto. The museum also has the golden goal paddy from Megan Keller, who played in the women's women's game. Despite not having made time to reach out to the Hall, Hughes said he wants the puck for his father, Jim, who he believes would have a special place for it.
