The opening day of the Indy 500 Open Test began at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, with teams working on balance, speed, and giving drivers time on the track. Since 2021, every single winner has posted top ten times in the competition. The only exception was last year's winner Robert Shwartzman, who did not go on to win.
