The West Virginia Mountaineers were one of the slowest-paced teams in college basketball last year, ranking 355th with 55.5 shots per game. The team's pace was largely due to the presence of players such as Jasper Floyd, Harlan Obioha, and Miles Sadler. Despite this, WVU's offense is expected to operate much faster this year due to these new players' speed and athleticism. Hodge believes that the pace of play will increase due to Sadler's ability to create and score more points from his point guard position.
