Sally Ride Drama Starring Kristen Stewart a Go for Launch at Prime Video

A limited series about astronaut Sally Ride, The Challenger, starring Kristen Stewart, has been approved for launch at Prime Video. The series is inspired by Meredith E. Bagby's 2023 book The New Guys and will be produced by Kyra Sedgwick’s Big Swing Productions, Amblin Television, and Nevermind Pictures. The show will chronicle Ride's journey to become the first American woman in space and later her role on the commission investigating the Challenger space shuttle explosion. Maggie Cohn adapted the book and will serve as showrunner. James Hawes will direct the series.
