British low-cost airline Jet2 is set to introduce its first business class class, with a plan to reconfigure one of its Boeing 737-800 planes to offer 76 armchair-style seats with extra legroom for “sports, music, entertainment, and specialist group customers” chartering flights. The move marks Jet2's first entry into the high-end travel market. The reconfiguration will take place in the coming months for charter flights between October 2026 and May 2027. This move is seen as a test for whether the airline has a market for expanding into premium flight services.
