Jaxon Sneed helps Mansfield Summit pull away to beat Lovejoy, return to 5A-II state final

Mansfield Summit High School won 52-35 against Lovejoy in a Class 5A Division II state semifinal at SMU's Moody Coliseum. Despite the loss of seven players from last season's state championship team, Summit managed to maintain its 11-game playoff winning streak. They will now face Beaumont United in the other state semiinal. The 5A-DII title game will be held at the Alamodome in San Antonio. Lovejoy's Luke Modersohn led with 13 points.
