The former Cambridge Labour Club, which already has planning permission for 43 student units, is being proposed to be transformed into 60 student flats. The college argues that the proposed development will provide accommodation suitable for the postgraduate community and reduce pressure on the wider local housing market. The proposal was supported by the University of Cambridge, which also supports the proposal.
