NASA's next launch to the moon is on track, with the Artemis 2 moon rocket set to launch on April 1, 2026. The rocket's (SLS) rocket and Orion capsule have been repaired and could be ready for liftoff on the launch pad within two weeks. The mission's flight readiness review (FRR) took place over the past two days, with managers conducting a thorough discussion ahead of rolling the SLS and Orion capsules back to the launchpad for liftime. The next launch opportunity is set to be on March 19 and April 1. This will be NASA's first crewed mission to moon in over 50 years. The Artemis 2 mission will take NASA astronauts Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover and Christina Koch, as well as Canadian astronaut Jeremy Hansen, on a 10-day journey around the moon and back to Earth.
