Comedian Jon Stewart criticised President Trump's comments about Iran talks, calling them "baseless". Stewart asked if he had even met with Iran's supreme leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, and if he ever asked for their Social Security numbers or Target gift cards, it was "sounding like bulls." On Monday, Trump announced that the U.S. would hold off for five days on attacks on Iran's energy sites due to "productive" talks. However, a senior Iranian security official denied that Iran was in discussions with the U., citing economic and foreign policy pressure. Sen. Chris Van Hollen (D-Md) also accused Trump of lying about having discussions with Iranian officials.
