Aaron Wei, a senior at Solon High School in Ohio, has been awarded the Amazon Future Engineer Scholarship, a national award that provides up to $40,000 over four years for students pursuing computer science or related engineering degrees. The scholarship is given to 400 high school seniors nationwide each year and includes a paid summer internship with Amazon, mentorship and career support. Wei plans to attend Cornell University this fall and is considering a major in computer science. He believes the scholarship will help ease the financial pressure of college and open doors to opportunities in the technology industry.
