Rainy weather a potential factor in fatal crash on Highway 24

A fatal highway crash on Highway 24 in the rain has resulted in the death of the driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt. The California Highway Patrol is investigating whether drugs or alcohol may have been involved in the accident. The driver and passenger were freed from the wreckage at the scene and died later in the hospital. The accident occurred just east of Acalanes Road on the westbound highway.
