Motorcyclist hospitalized after St. Pete officer fails to yield: SPPD

The St. Petersburg Police Department (SPP) has reported that one of its officers caused a serious incident involving a 29-year-old man on a motorcycle. The officer was driving in a marked police cruiser and attempted to make a left turn towards the cyclist, causing the collision. The cyclist was transported to the hospital with serious injuries. The police officer was hospitalized with minor injuries.
