Expanding health emergency readiness through a national e-learning for Indonesia’s reserve health workforce
Published on March 4, 2026.
The World Health Organization (WHO) Indonesia has developed a national e-learning module on Basic Health Crisis Management for Indonesia's reserve health workforce (Tenaga Cadangan Kesehatan/TCK), which serves as a national mechanism for surge capacity during public health emergencies and disasters. The module combines essential knowledge on national policies, health workforce safety and security, surveillance, early warning, risk assessment, and health crisis information management. It will be available on the Indonesia Ministry of Health's Plataran Sehat platform. This initiative aims to provide standardized foundational knowledge for TCK and other responders, enabling wider reach, flexible participation and faster scaling of preparedness capacities.
