Attacks from all sides: Why Iraq was dragged into US-Israel war on Iran

Iraq has been hit by both sides of the US-Israel war on Iran, with Iran and its proxies targeting US bases and bombing pro-Iran groups. Within hours of the attacks, US assets in Iraq’s Kurdistan region were targeted by Tehran-backed groups. Since then, the US has been targeted by pro, Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IGRC). The US has also targeted pro-Iraqi groups. Iraq's Foreign Minister, Fuad Hussein, stated that Iraq is one of the countries directly affected by the conflict. Iran has also attacked Iranian Kurdish groups based in the Iraqi Kurdistan region after Washington planned to arm them to fight Iran. The conflict has since expanded across the Middle East and beyond.
