Keith Piro, director of Workplace Experience at commercial real estate company JLL, has been leading a Stroke Prevention Fundraising Effort in honor of his mother, who suffered a series of mini strokes in 2020. The American Heart Association's New York City Wall Street Run & Heart Walk, and CycleNation, a fundraising event that focuses on stroke awareness, have been part of Piro's efforts for the past three years. The CycleNation event, a SoulCycle-inspired event, will take place on Mar. 12 at Terminal Warehouse in Manhattan. Piro has been involved in CycleNation since it was reintroduced after the COVID-19 Pandemic. His mother survived a full recovery after a stroke that left her on a ventilator for four nights, but she still struggles mentally and physically.
