The Coway Airmega Mighty2, the successor to the original Mighty air purifier, has been released by Coway as a more powerful purifier with more robust settings and controls. The Mighty2 features the same three-stage filtering process as the original, but uses larger filters than the Mighty1, 45 percent larger than the one in the original Airmega Mega, while the HEPA and pre-filter are 20 and 22 percent larger. Coway claims that the Mighty2 can clear the air from an 1,800 square-foot room or space in 60 minutes, while using the purifier’s “turbo” mode for when there is a sudden surplus of stuff in the air. It also features a new built-in air quality index (AQI) sensor and a smart mode for increasing fan speed based on the fan speed. Despite its compact design, Coway found it could create more room for the larger filters without making the larger Mighty2 physically larger. The device also reduces its energy footprint and noise footprint. The noise isn't a huge issue, but it runs silent in noisy mode many times per day.
