Google's interactive doodle commemorates the 100th anniversary of Route 66, with a list of locations in Oklahoma, including five within the state. The list also includes the Oklahoma Route 66 Museum in Clinton, a roadside attraction of the Blue Whale of Catoosa. The official 100th birthday is on Nov. 11, 2026, with celebrations starting this summer in Oklahoma City and Tulsa. The museum in Clinton is dedicated to various eras of construction, transportation, restaurants, and attractions along the road. The Google list also lists 48 locations in total on the road, from the start of the road in Chicago to Santa Monica Pier in California.
