An internal investigation into a 2023 motor vehicle accident involving Massachusetts State Police Sgt. Scott Quigley has revealed allegations of a deliberate cover-up by a fellow trooper. The report, authored by attorney and retired Judge Thomas Drechsler for Middlesex County District Attorney Marian Ryan, alleges that MSP Sgt. Anthony DeLucia informed MDAO Director of Operations Scott Sarsfield in mid-2024 that Quigly’s blood alcohol level was 0.11 at the time of the crash and later demanded that the truth be taken to the grave. The investigation also alleges a systemic failure by the State Police to follow mandatory notification protocols for serious or fatal accidents.
