Gov. Pillen accepts award recognizing economic growth

The Sioux City metro area has been recognized for its economic growth, ranking number one in the nation for economic development in the under 200,000 population category. The award was given by Adam Bruns with Site Selection Magazine, who uses databases to track private-sector facility investment worldwide. Several sectors in the city, including food processing, construction industry, and the Sioux Honey Association, contributed to the recognition. Nebraska Governor Pillen accepted the award on behalf of the tri-state governors.
