NASA’s Earth Day tool spells your name with satellite images

In honor of Earth Day, NASA's Kennedy Space Center is using satellite images from Landsat to create personalized designs with real pictures of Earth's landscapes. Users can type in their name, which is then spelled out using satellite pictures. The Landsat program, which began in 1972, has provided consistent and reliable data about Earth's changing surface and contributed an estimated $25.6 billion to the United States economy in 2023 alone. The tool also documents where the pictures were taken.
