State Department IT worker stabbed complete strangers and his own dog in deadly Virginia road rage rampage

Jared Llamado, a 32-year-old State Department employee, went on a stabbing spree on a Virginia highway, stabbing four strangers and his own dog. He was shot dead by a Virginia State Trooper after he allegedly charged at him with a knife. The rampage left Fairfax resident Michele Adams dead and three other women wounded. The three surviving victims were hospitalized with serious injuries. Llamada, a graduate of George Mason University in Virginia, had worked for over a year as a diplomatic technology officer at the State Department. The incident occurred around 1:20 p.m. on I-495, about 15 miles outside Washington, DC.
