Naseem Karim King, 18, was killed in a shooting on I-64 in 2025, while driving home from a graduation party. Virginia State Police arrested Troy Jefferson and Rahmel Stewart, charged with first-degree murder and felony use of a firearm respectively. Both men are also facing separate charges related to gun and drug related charges. King's mother, Makeda King, expressed her desire for justice for her son and said she forgives them but wants to know why they killed him. Court documents reveal that King and the two suspects were all at a party the night he died. The time it would take to travel from the crime scene to the locations where the vehicle was seen on video, matched the murder time of the murder. The weapon used was a nine millimeter Glock 19x.
