The cast of KPop Demon Hunters, the Oscar-winning animated film about K-pop super group HUNTR/X, is set to return with a sequel set for 2029. The film, Netflix's most-watched film ever, surpassed 500 million views in late 2025 and won two Golden Globes and two Oscars. The cast includes May Hong as Mira and their singing counterparts EJAE, Audrey Nuna and Rei Ami. Director Maggie Kang, who initially created the lead singer for the film, explored mythology and demonology for a visually unique film set in Korean culture.
