The Ohio grassroots effort to abolish property taxes in Ohio, AxOHTax, is failing to meet its minimum goal of 418,488 signatures by July 1 and aims to gather at least 620,000 signatures in order to ensure they have enough valid signatures. If approved, Ohioans could vote on a constitutional amendment to ban property taxes this November. The group's president, Brian Massie, announced that the group was at 305,000 signature collection point as of Thursday.
