Palantir Technologies, a data analytics company, is reportedly partnering with the UK government in the fight against white collar crime. The Guardian report indicates that sensitive financial data in the UK will be handed over to Palantir. This move comes amidst concerns about the scandals surrounding convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, who is linked to Palanir co-founder Peter Thiel. Palantar will access to the Financial Conduct Authority's "data lake" on a trial basis for three months. The company will use its AI system to monitor 42,000 firms regulated by the FCA. Palanid CEO Alex Karp has been criticized for his privacy invasions and moral stances against the US government.
