David Benavidez looks to finally become the 'face of boxing'

David Benavidez, the boxer who Mike Tyson nicknamed the “Mexican Monster’�, is aiming to become the 'face of boxing' after a successful decade of training under his father's guidance. Benavridez, a two-time world champion, is preparing for his upcoming fight against WBA and WBC cruiserweight champion Gilberto "Zurdo'' Ramirez on May 2 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The fight is expected to be the biggest fight of Benaviidez’s career, but it is unlikely to be tougher than a lifetime of training. His debut in boxing was at a kickboxing event when he was almost 3 and he could barely walk. Despite his struggles with physical abuse and bullying, BenavIDEz has expressed his desire to become "the face of boxing."
