Microsoft has made several announcements aimed at adding AI to business apps, including expanding its models from OpenAI to the technology behind Anthropic’s Claude and adding these to Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. The company is also tweaking Outlook to allow Copilot to automatically accept, reject, and schedule calendar invitations based on various factors. With this, Outlook users can now draft an email, which Copilot will edit it with them to ensure it is framed correctly, includes correct information, and the correct tone. The feature is available now for Microsoft 365 and “Outlook endpoints” in Outlook itself.
