Doncetic is currently averaging an NBA-high 33.7 points per game and contributing significantly to the Lakers' overall success. However, he argues that he is not the defensive liability that many believe he is, stating that once he gets to the playoffs, he plays differently. Meanwhile, Gilgeous-Alexander, the best player on the league's best team (60-16), averages 31.6 points on 55.3 percent shooting and is second in player efficiency rating (31.1) behind only Denver Nuggets' Nikola Jokić.
